The senior art show of Christian “Xian” Metts opens Sunday, September 23, in the Weatherwax Gallery at Spring Arbor University. Following a reception that day from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, the exhibit remains on display through October 5.

Christian's art is based on drawings and photographs manipulated digitally. He believes “Art is the tension between any two opposing concepts. The job of an artist is to display the tension between familiar concepts that are often taken for granted.” According to professor Bill Bippes, “It is unusual for one so young to produce such strong unusual work while pushing technology and various concepts to their limits.”

Gallery hours are:
Mon-Thr: 8am - 11pm
Fri: 8am - 5pm
Sat: 10am - 2pm
Sun: 1pm - 5pm
