Sinfest: Hitting nails squarely on the head since... -well, since a while ago.

Some of the people from my distant past will most likely recognize this device. It is an artifact of ancient reckoning: a bowlnut. I understand that the term was something made up by the fellow who introduced me to the device. But as far as I'm concerned, it is the only possible name.

This specimen was gifted to me by my fiance's father. It is from Argentina.

This past weekend we got around to seeing The Incredibles. All I have to say is: Best Movie Ever! Especially since there's an Edith Head in it!

I also pass this Adult ADHD test with a score of 102. I win!

I, however, maintain that everybody's favorite scapegoat (ADHD) is not so much a mental disorder as it is a cultural saturation of media poison. Perhaps 'poison' is too strong a word but, I think the human mind is being molded into a new shape for learning and comprehension by our utter immertion in television and video games.

I think:
a) ADHD largely is self-inflicted and cultural in nature
b) Countless generations got on before us without diagnosing it just fine
c) Drugging children into a lethargy is not the answer

Well. Now that I have a lightsaber, I suppose I may as well sit down and type out a post.

Andrea and I are now engaged to be married. We are slowly moving in on the planning process and it appears that there is a long path of tedious, boring work ahead. Ultimately the payoff will be more than worth it, but I don't cotton to weddings-- even if they are my own. ;)

And speaking of long, boring work-- I need to find a job that requires less of my time. Or find a way to make my current job require less of my time. Somehow, we never seem to get to that point, though.

I did manage to get my Dark Eldar force up to 1500pts before getting sidetracked and got several good games out of the deal. Andrea has yet to beat me in a 1500 point battle. It has nothing to do with dice rolls and everything to do with my army being amazing, thank you very much. :)

I have a new cell phone without a crack in it's face and it can sing better than my old cell phone. I think someone should assemble a cell phone chior and take them Christmas Carolling this year.
