Today I tried out for the rose pageant. It's for the miss America pageant. Since I was 3 I said I was going to be Miss America, but alas, fate had other things in mind.
Today I didn't even make the top 10 out of 28 girls. I failed at the interveiw (that's my assumption anyway). I was dissapointed, and now that I know I'm not the smartest prettiest girl in Jackson, I decided to break the world record and become the fattest person in the world! I think it is much easier than not eating for a month so I look good in a bikini! ~just kidding~
I am actually really glad I tried out, it was fun and it pushed me WAY past my comfort zone, and I mean WAY PAST. I had an interview with 6 judges, walked across stage in a bikini (that was the worst!) and sang Music of the Night from phantom of the Opera. I tried my best and now I think I'll never be nervous again to perform in front of people - but from now on I think I'll stick to the contest that require no inteligence! (American Idol???)
OK then - for all of you that came to see me, thanks for your support - and Darren Dearest, thank you so much for the flowers - that's the first time in all the years I've been doing recitels and performances that anyone has gotten me flowers, I was even telling my mom today how sad it is that I've never gotten flowers for any of my performances - so think you so much! I saw my family and friends out there and it made me a lot more comfortible when I realized half the audience was made up with people I know!!! hee hee...ok then I'm going to bed and I'll be back to write in another month or so!
