Quick Update

I don’t have very much time, so this will be a fast and furious update:

Prayers for my Grandma this morning as she is having her triple-bypass surgery.
My conference is this week. This week. Hence the busy-ness. Currently, my registration is over 200. Yikes. This is the biggest event I have ever planned and ran.
Of course, of course, I would get sick. On the worst possible week. Things got really bad Saturday night and Sunday morning I went to the walk-in clinic. Yup - I have bronchitis.
So when I should be at home snuggled up in bed getting some rest, I am instead here at work, printing training guides, designing brochures, and figuring out logistics for my show.
And my throat hurts. And I can’t breathe really well.
Luckily, my fever broke this morning so I’m no longer shivering/sweating. That’s good.
Oh, and my travel sunscreen exploded in my purse this morning. Over everything. Did I mention that it was waterproof? Yeah. Makes cleaning stuff hard.
Connor has not gotten sick yet, and for that, I am happy. However, he didn’t really understand why Momma couldn’t play with him yesterday. Plus, he’s not the nicest person when you don’t feel well. He stole my pillow, my blanket, and my socks at one point in time. Followed by a hit in the head with a Dora the Explorer book.

Hang in there babe. Rest is best, but lots of water, Fisherman's Friend cough drops (taste like hell but help so much), and Celestial Seasonings Throat Soother tea are all wonderful, wonderful things. They don't cure it, but they sure soothe like crazy.
